Forensic Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
More than 14 million Americans use illicit drugs. Roughly three-quarters of these individuals are employed, and when they arrive for work, they don’t leave their problems at the door. American businesses pay a high price for substance abuse in the workplace. Some costs such as increased absences, accidents, and errors are obvious, but the effects are equally harmful.
Lakeland’s Forensic Drug and Alcohol Program was developed to assist employers in implementing employee drug and alcohol testing programs.
Screening for Drugs of Abuse at the point of collection is becoming a reality for business and industry. In the hiring process, employers are in competition for quality job applicants. Often the difference between hiring a candidate and losing them to a competitor is the turnaround time of a drug test.
